I'm working on a new series of expressionist etchings where I'm breaking the rules, allowing gaps in the ground and generally letting accidents happen.
Painting and mixed media. I simply take what is at hand, new canvas, old canvas, collage, paint, stream of consciousness writing, whatever and create an image. There is no plan, just a process and the image being the result of such a process, with nothing to impart but what the viewer makes of them.
Two improvised surreal/dance videos featuring modern dancer Julia Gómez Avilés. The videoing of the clips for these videos were made in the moment without a script, on the melting of the knife so to speak. I see them as the equivalent of action painting or stream of consciousness writing.
